Flair and feeling are at the forefront of Barber’s musical armoury, be it DJing or producing. His expertise in the latter is testament to why his diary is full of studio clientele looking for something a little more… “Mmmm, Yes Bruv!”, and why He is pricking up the ears of the worlds DJing elite with his innovative, dynamic and emotive music.
His vigorous and entertaining DJ sets are an extension of his impulsive and fun personality, which has enabled him to play in both London and Berlin regularly this year, including Fabric London (@WetYourSelf); Studio 338; Basing House; Egg Club; taking his label, Faceless Recordings back to IPSE (Berlin) and Sisyphos (Berlin); as well performances at Golden Gate (Berlin); Chalet 9Berlin); Sankeys (Ibiza); Slow (Barcelona); Tamat Rzeka (Warsaw); Biel (Switzerland); XOYO (London); Bloc (London); Oval Space (London); and Light Box (London).
2017 will see Barber introduce a unique live show to proceedings, exploring and showcasing his real musicianship and performance talents.
He’s racked up the plaudits for his remix work, 2016 commanded big response with his remix of the classic 808 State track, Re-Dubbed: 'Pacific State’. Continuously taking the roof of the Privilege Vista Bar (Ibiza) Darius Syrosian has included it to his highly respected and DJMag award winning; Balance Compilation. The acclaim continued from all angles for his more recent work on D Ramirez’s label Re-launch; Slave Recordings where the likes of Adam Beyer, B Traits, Steve Lawler, Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry where on board, plus more from and more from Armand Van Helden ’10/10’, and Fatboy Slim ’10/10’ with videos circulating of him blasting the Amnesia Terrace apart.
All the while, working tirelessly on Faceless Recordings, the label he co-founded with long time friend — respected DJ/producer, Silky. Together they are the driving force behind this quality-not-quantity driven underground house and techno label and are preparing for an even bigger 2017.
With a growing array of original and remix works that impressively count Suara, ViVA, Columbia, Zulu, OFF, Twisted Fusion, Slave, Phonetic, Go Deeva, Cubism, Cr2, and Faceless Recordings as release carriers, and not forgetting his exquisite David Bowie remix of ‘Let’s Dance’, which has racked up over 80k plays on Soundcloud, you can expect to hear a whole lot more Barber audio in the near future. Yes Bruv!
